Ethiopia is considered the birthplace of coffee, and its exceptional quality comes from a combination of factors: extraordinary genetic diversity of varieties, traditional processing methods, and centuries of producing knowledge passed down through generations.
Sidamo is one of only three trademarked coffee regions in Ethiopia, and for good reason. High altitudes, plentiful rainfall, and fertile soil create the conditions for something truly remarkable in the cup. Farms here are small, traditionally run, and organic by default — no pesticides, no mechanization, everything done by hand. That labor and care translates directly into the coffee's depth and complexity.
